The surgeries are designed to correct the erect deformity. Irregularities in the flaccid condition are not felt to be clinically significant and may not be correctable as the tissues are soft and naturally take on different shapes. All men have some irregularities in the shape of the penis such as draping to one side or another or even kinked a bit. The key is that when the penis is erect that it is functionally straight enough to allow penetrative sexual activity. You should also be aware that no man has a perfectly straight penis. Experts believe that curvature in any direction up to 30 degrees will typically not interfere with sex.
