The costs of these agents are not known to us, verapamil is inexpensive as it is a generic medication, which should cost somewhere around $10-15.00 to the physician per dose. Botox is far more expensive but it is currently in placebo-controlled trials and I would not recommend using it yet until we see evidence of positive results. None of these treatments are covered, per se, by Medicare but there is an established code for intralesional injection for Peyronie’s disease (54200), which typically, is covered by Medicare.
