How Can We Help?
The tunica vaginalis of the testicle has been used historically for correction of penile deformities as an autogenous graft material. This means the graft is taken from the patient’s own body. This does not need to be taken from a man who has an enlarged fluid filled sac around the testicle, known as a hydrocele. Unfortunately the results with the tunica vaginalis grafting have not been particularly successful in that the graft tends to contract. I have not used a tunica vaginalis graft in over 10 years because at least 50% of my previous postoperatively.
