Dr. Levine answers: Dr. Egydios is an expert in the surgical correction of Peyronie’s disease from Sao Paulo, Brazil. He has developed a technique of surgical correction using “geometric principles” to define the size and shape of the graft necessary to correct the deformity. Certainly for the urologist who has limited experience performing graft repairs for men with Peyronie’s disease this may be a useful technique to learn. For those surgeons who have been performing these procedures for many years; they have developed techniques of their own which have yielded similar results to those of Dr. Egydio’s.
